Influences
This page is dedicated to the people, ideas, places and miscellaneous categories of inspiration and wisdom I have benefitted from. I list them here in the hope that curious visitors to this site will find a trove- a unique collection of sources that may help you on your own journey, and understanding the journey that this site is taking.
Michael Higgins/dad
Dad is a Steiner teacher of 17 years, and a composer.
His music scores can be found on universal edition, and heard on Soundcloud. Seeingisbeveiling.com is his website where you can find out more about his work, which includes several books.
Leo Gura and Actualized.org
Leo has been a big source of insight over the last three years. He is a teacher of advanced personal development and the the founder of actualized.org.
Seb Jones
Seb is a spiritual mentor who makes short, insightful videos about personal development for YouTube. I discovered his channel over two years ago, and I’ve been a keen follower of his journey since then, which included two coaching sessions with him.
Sadhguru
Sadhguru is an advanced yogi whose work has a very broad scope. He can often be seen on a motorbike, or consecrating localized energy fields. In short, his work cannot be summarized in few words. He is the creator of an amazing personal transformation program called Inner Engineering, and is the founder of the Isha foundation, which is responsible for inner engineering, as well as other efforts such as mass tree planting and campaigning for legislation change.
David ‘Davo’ Mitsak and ‘Mud Fun’
I met Davo on my travels in Australia. He is the founder of Mud Fun Australia, a comedian and taoist practicioner.
Jo Clark and ‘On the Hill’
‘On the Hill’ is a land-based learning initiative based in Devon. Jo is the director of the initiative, and has led a colorful life, including street theatre performance whilst living in Spain, and working as a teacher in a Steiner school.
Aoteoroa New Zealand
Having lived there for two years in total, this amazing country is integral to this whole project.
Ethno is an international organization which holds residentials for world musicians to share their native music with each other. I attended one in Waiheke island, NZ, 2021.
Justin Merkys
Justin generates creative solutions for paying clients. He also makes youtube videos with a focus on the detrimental effects of caffeine, as well as spirituality and general personal development.
He is the clearest voice I have come across on the real effect of caffeine on the human system. He is not a scientist, but he speaks from direct experience, and paints an intuitive picture which confirmed what I had long sensed.
Jasper Kennedy
I’m very glad to have found Jasper’s channel, where he shares his contemplations and tribulations more openly than is easy to find elsewhere, even in spiritual circles. He is also the founder of the truth playground, a small, yet inspiring online community of like minded individuals spread across the world.
